The terms Nazi and Nazism are banded about much too easily today.
On a basic level, to inaccurately invoke the Third Reich diminishes the pure evil of a movement which attempted to erradicate an ethnic group which posed no threat to Germany. The Jews, despite rampant propaganda to the contrary, had never acted against the national interest of Germany, a country they considered to be their homeland.
However, as regards the Muslim community in Europe, the same can not be said with a straight face. Granted, to paint an entire group with a broad brush can be dangerous. But the Muslim community has made their desire to avoid assimilation quite clear. European Muslims have been attacking European targets and Imams frequently preach against the infidels. Thus we have a situation quite different from Nazi Germany where the victims of attack were quite innocent. If we are afraid to call our enemies as such, we risk our national security. Innocence versus guilt in relation to statements regarding any particular group should be the criteria for leveling charges of Nazism, not a sub-cognitive reaction to strong statements of truth.

So you're saying "nazi" is too mild a comparison.
