As the Catholic wife of a very practical Catholic Knight of Columbus, I can tell you that I would never in a thousand million years vote for Giuliani even if he were to run against the devil herself Mrs. Clinton.

He could win all the blue state republican primaries (Rudy easily wins NY,MA,NJ,NH,VT,CA,OR,WA,ME,CT,PA,MD,DC,HI) and get enough of the red state delegates to put together a win.
The South, Northeast and CA are irrelevant in a national campaign. The only thing that matters are the swing states, OH,FL,MI,PA,NV.

They're only irrelevant if you can win them all like you're supposed to.
With a RINO, you are in danger of losing 'safe' states. THAT is the issue. Without locking up safe states by appealing to the base, all the swing states won't matter.
And with a conservative, you are in danger of losing the swing states.

There are exceptions. And Hannity is a graduate of the SOHN. You'll find a lot of success stories from that school too, even a lot of billionaires.

I think you're being overly optimistic. I believe it's going to be years before California and Mississippi, New Jersey and Wyoming, etc. cast electoral votes for the same presidential candidate. Such a scenario would require a landslide of Reagan-like proportions -- and while that certainly isn't impossible, I can assure you that Rudy Giuliani is incapable of delivering it.
You've been reading too many 2005 polls about the 2008 presidential race. Giuliani and McCain rise to the top of those polls simply because they have more name recognition than anyone else. Neither one of those two has any chance in hell of winning the GOP nomination, and neither one would garner more than 45% of the popular vote in 2008.
At this point in 2001, Al Gore was the Democratic front-runner for 2004 -- for the same reasons.

But seriously, while she may attract votes with looks [she would definitely attract men willing to hear her out], at the same time, she's brilliant, quick on her feet, and knows what America needs: for example, she would terrify Islamo-facists, insist that swarthy looking men get extra attention at airports, and be outspoken about taxes and spending.

I agree. And the primary process is really jaded now. We don't have the luxury of small events stretched out over several weeks, giving us time to look candidates over.
As it is now, it's all about campaign seed money. If the grass roots doesn't rally behind someone soon, that front-loaded primary will blast away a crowded field of unknowns.
That's why we need to hash out who we back early.
If you go out and ask a lot of average people who don't follow politics, you will find that most of them don't care who has an abortion, regardless of whether they themselves approve or disapprove. I have asked a lot of my son's friends, and they really don't care.
