"AP story. At least half will be proven to be erroneous."
It's 100% misleading BS. See adjacent threads in "Atta/Able Danger category.

Well, now that we'll coming clean.......
When I signed out the base T-2 for an "Instrument Proficiency" ride, I really used it to fly up to to Frisco to see a honey I met at the base Officers Club in North Island...

"Sometimes it's a wonder how we can recruit brave men into a system that will screw them in a New-York second."
Your statement reminds me of Pantano. If we are unable to win this battle with the Left at this time (in a general sense) people will start backing off.

"It's time to clean house at the DIA."
Don't know much about them. But if they are in a state anything like the CIA or State Department, I agree.

I voted for Bush twice, to clean the culture of corruption and bring decency and honor back to the fore. After 5 1/2 years, things haven't changed a bit. We are at war, and the back biting still goes on. We need a leader, and there does not seem to be one available, now or for the forseeable future.

In ''Through the Looking Glass'' Lewis Carroll, through the Mad Hatter, proclaims: ''First the sentence than the trial.'' Maybe we can wait for the actual charge and coverage by the press. Of course, no one here will believe the press reports about the DOD's charges. Nonetheless, it will be the only source and no doubt Larry King will explore the situation. We'll see...

You have to admit that someone has a sense of humor (or maybe a sense of the ridiculous) to file charges like that.

"Stealing pens." WTF?
The whole office here is going to jail then....
Well, at the Pentagon, pens probably cost $500.00 each.

improperly flashing military identification while drunk and stealing pens
In over 20 years of active military service, I never heard of improperly flashing military identification while drunk, and the government issue pens werent worth stealing I always bought my own. Ill withhold comment on the charge of obtaining a service medal under false pretenses until more details come out.
If this is the best they can come up with to discredit an Army Lieutenant Colonel, he must be squeaky clean.
