I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH A MEMBER OF THE FRATERNITY JOEL HINRICHS WAS IN!!

Looks like I may have jumped to the conclusion too quick, I tracked down which Frat he was in and tracked down the head of that Frat at OU and gave him a call and asked him if Joel was a Muslim convert. He said no he was definately not. So looks like we jumped to a conclusion. But we should all never be too quick to accept everything we hear from the media, we have to stay vigilant and on top of these things!

Always good advice. When did the media say anything about him being a convert to Islam? As I recall it was some freepers.

They didn't know why he'd do it, probably just crazy in the head. I do feel better now, but am quite upset as to the medias lack of coverage

Oh sure. You know this how? How many ways have you personally considered or tried in your lifetime?

If you wanted to make sure that you died and hurt others for not caring, what better way to make a messy statement than to blow yourself up right outside the big game. I agree, its probably not the way a woman would select but then they wouldnt swallow a gun either and this was an a guy and an engineering student to boot. Sounds plausible to me.

Good grief! There's a 21 yr old student dead--he apparently suffered from mental illness of some sort--and somehow, you tie him in with Muslims?

Well that's just it. The first mental illness that comes to mind for many is... Islam.

The kid doesn't need to be a muslim to be a terrorist. He had to know that people would suspect terrorism if he blew himself up. Blowing himself up, knowing that people will suspect terrorism kinda make him a terrorist in his own right.

For all we know he could have fully intended to detonate in the crowd as they exited the stadium but got fidgety and POOF.
