Iraq insurgents guilty of war crimes -rights group

Iraqi insurgents are committing war crimes by attacking civilians in their fight against U.S. forces, the New-York based Human Rights Watch said on Monday.

Although the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and the ensuing occupation resulted in tens of thousands of civilian deaths, and abuses that enraged many Iraqis, this was no justification for deliberate killings of civilians, it said.

"The deliberate targeting of civilians during an armed conflict constitutes a war crime," Human Rights Watch said in a 140-page study, released in Jordan.

How do they know "tens of thousands of civilians" killed? Is there any way to really know?

I am thinking an excommunication from the human rights cabal is in order here.

This Reuters post is blasphemy, nothing less.

Does it take Human Rights Watch a while to catch on or what?

They don't know - but - we do know our military went into Iraq and did a very good job getting read of the Red Gaurd and I would say many of their "soldiers".

We didn't stop to count bodies. Our bombings may have killed some civilians. Since we had embedded journalists we would have heard if we had targeted civilians.

By this time, some of the journalists would have written their BIG story if there had been one.

Well, they say even a broken clock is right twice a day. These usually America-bashing pinheads have FINALLY gotten it right & pointed out that it's the insurgents, not the coalition forces, that are the bad guys in this fight.

Hell must have frozen over!! A leftist self-appointed "human rights" group actually issues some criticisms of their beloved Islamo-fascists. Of course, they cannot dispense with including deranged attacks on the US forces and policies for 'balance' (not that they ever care about such balancing when they are issuing leftist jermiads against the USA). Still, it is remarkable to see a group like HRW actually bother to point out the inhumanities of the TERRORISTS (not insurgents).

"resulted in tens of thousands of civilian deaths" they are talking about the guys without uniforms but with guns that were shooting at the US troops.

Those were the tens of thousands of civilian deaths the are talking about.
