I have been reading this from numerous posters this morning. How does anyone know this? The President has said that he will appoint those who will not legislate from the bench. Since he has know Harriet Meirs for YEARS, I'll assume he knows her temperment, and has an idea how she would 'judge' things.
I think her having had commercial legal experience is a plus in this day of so much corporate litigation making it to the Supremes.
Read some of the things Scalia wrote while a law professor.
Listen to some of the speeches Janice Rogers Brown has made.
In three years Bush is gone and she has some 20 years to do what she wants on the Court, it is quite a gamble.
