If she really did that it makes me feel a little bit better about her.
It is still a bit disappointing anyway...it isn't exactly a nomination to get excited about.

I like her, I like her not, I like her.....

Ya know, maybe someone was right on the other thread when they suggested that he picked her expecting, maybe, that she would not get in, then he could nominate someone better who the Rats couldn't fight and he really wanted. Just speculation but time will tell. It IS interesting to watch who's opposing her though. It tells a lot.

Rat-friends and baby killers are knee-jerk opponents to Bush. I am concerned, due to her history of contributing to rat baby killers.
A former college friend of Meiers is about to talk with Laura Ingraham in the next segment.

She wanted to change the pro-abortion activist position to one of neutrality. That's pretty weak ground for even a pro-abortion group to oppose her.
One thing we know is that they would oppose her no matter what her views were, simply because she was nominated by Bush.

Planned Parenthood opposed a Republican nominee? Colour me surprised.

Planned Parenthood can go f*** themselves.

"During Miers' tenure as head of the Texas Bar Association she was a leader in the campaign to reverse the American Bar Association's pro-choice position on the right to choose. Had this campaign been successful, which it was not, the ABA would have been returned to its former position of neutrality." Gee, imagine that! Even being neutral to abortion is not enough for the baby-killers.

The fact that people are concerned about the slaughter of 40 million unborn is a source of amusement to you. I see. It's all a joke to you?

I think these groups prepare their opposing press releases for all potential nominees ahead of time.

Sorry this information came out too late. I'll never vote for Bush again because the geniuses on this
thread are so convincing.

That's all I need to hear - I approve! Curious about other views, but good to see the essentials are there hopefully.

Thank you for that info. OK. Feeling more hopeful. Was concerned because she used to contribute to rats back in the 80s. But that was a while ago.

Well, as always, the SC pick serves to remind us that the main battle grounds in defense of the unborn are in our families and churches (and our schools).

Let's wait and see what comes to the surface on Miers. For the moment this item about making abortion a political rather than a legal issue appears hopeful. She appears, at least in this snippet to understand the role of the courts and the legislatures in our system which is more that you can say about any of the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
