The question is, will she be an originalist? Likely, yes

I tend to think so as well. We silly believers have a tendency to think maybe we do not have all of the answers and the right to "run" things.

I agree that it's a horrible ruling....but they will never stop it. If states rights get it, California, Conneticutt, NY...will all offer it anyway....

Actually I would strongly state that many of the strongest (and most effective) supporters of Pro-life are our Catholic brothers and sisters.

I don't dispute this at all; however, identification as a Catholic in no way means you adhere to the teachings of the church. Even many, many of those that claim to be "practicing or devout" Catholics are pro "CHOICE." Just look at the Catholic Politicians like Kennedy. Typically this type claims to be a good Catholic and say they are personally against abortion but wouldn't deny someone elses right to have an abortion (implying those that are not as devout as themselves). Interesting that they don't say that when they have personal beliefs out of the mainstream that they would not deny the rights of others to do something that they would not do. NO, they are prepared to pass laws to legalize their personal beliefs EXCEPT when it deals with abortion.

When I made my decision to vote for President I voted for President Bush. You see I voted for Clinton because I researched every little thing he said and he said then he was prolife. Well we all know how that turned out. Since then I have switched over to the republican party and many other of my friends have. In fact some stay democrats but vote republican just to mess with the polls out there. In the process of being republican I have learned the true face of how militant liberal the democrats are. Anything goes for them when it comes to abortion. You see after learning of some friends and family members who have had abortions and what they went through I have been quite serious about voting prolife. That being said there are many other problems with the party line of the democrats. But pushing young girls, who need parental permission to get their ears pierced, to denying them the support of their parents is a betrayal of the family. What I have been told of the abortion experience is HORRIFIC, and no young girl should be treated as if her parents can't or won't be there to help her. Coming from a less than great family I still believe families should be there for one another in cases of serious medical procedures. Besides that 40 million abortions is something I just can't get out of my head. In the early teachings of the apostles abortions was mentioned. It is called the didache. If it seemed important to them back then it is just as important to me now. But over the years I have seen for myself just how much I could never go back to the democratic party. For me they offer death in various forms. I am not saying that everything the republicans do excites me but I canot live with the constant beat of the drum of death. Listen to them. They would never under any circumstance vote for a prolife justice. That is at the very heart of their party. Pray for President Bush and the entire country.
