FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A teenager who once killed a 6-year-old playmate has been charged with criminal mischief after a sheriff's deputy said he broke the glass in his cell door.
Lionel Tate, 18, has been held without bail since May. He was charged with robbing a pizza delivery man at gunpoint and probation violation.
Prosecutors filed new charges on Friday. According to court records, Tate was shouting at deputies on Aug. 25 while "banging on the cell door glass window ... for approximately 30 to 45 seconds."
Tate faces a potential life sentence on the robbery charge because he is on probation as part of a plea agreement in the 1999 death of 6-year-old family friend Tiffany Eunick.

Wonder if his prison sex life is everything he'd thought it'd be.
Counting the hours before he kills again.
That poor, poor little boy. He's just misunderstood. /liberal
IMO This obviously dangerous and defective thing should never have been let out in the first place. It is only luck that he didn't kill someone else before being locked up again.
He's a big strong kid with an obviously violent temper.
Little wimps can't break the glass on a cel door.
No doubt he will kill again, given the opportunity.
Where's Jesse Jackson?
Obviously, he was practicing a "wrasslin move" on the glass door when it broke!
BTW, this was the same excuse when he killed the little girl.
Put him behind a solid steel door & throw away the key.
Oh, if ONLY the FL legislature would vote to make his crimes HATE CRIMES...THAT would have TOTALLY prevented this new behavior to stop.
Sarcasm! LOL
his "playmate"? she was his playmate the way a mouse is a cat's playmate.
I wish they would not call her his anything. She is God's now and forever.
Every moment he spends outside a prison or a morgue is an unacceptable risk to innocent citizens.
Appy, until I saw the "/liberal" at the end of your post, I thought your account had been hijacked! You got me there!
Brent Bozell can come up with another theory about it being someone else's fault
"This obviously dangerous and defective thing should never have been let out in the first place."
Double-dog-ditto that!! I say throw him into prison with the other "big boys" and let him fend for himself. Maybe nature order will take care of him.
nature = natural -- sorry
They'll just create a monster. The Lord can fix him.
After this rotten bastard beat that little girl to death I predicted we'd be hearing from him again. Didn't take long.
IMO Just because a killer is young doesn't excuse their atrocities. In fact, just the opposite is likely the case - Their actions at a young age are a harbinger of worse to come if left free.
You and everybody else, amigo. (sigh) And we will hear from him again. In the same context... You can take that to the bank....
