This was a direct result of China's one baby policy, where the culture preferred a male child over a female. Female babies were aborted or were quietly given up to orphanages for adoption.

There has been an illegal influx of Vietnamese women into China to marry these eligible bachelors. Maybe China will formalize this practice.

The problem is actually worse than the raw demographics as upwardly mobile Chinese women are seeking foreign husbands in huge numbers.
You have a point. The number of Chinese women, who are marrying foreigners who are better off than home boys, far exceeds Chinese men marrying foreign girls.

I think one obvious likely trend will be 'robbing the cradle.' The surplus of young men will seek younger women since ladies of the normal 'corresponding' age will not be available, and we will see the envelope pushed in this manner in many cases.

And then (a) pedophilia gets normalized, plus (b) the younger men who get the cradle robbed before they get a shot decide to start killing their elders...

There are lots of impoverished, third-world countries with people who would welcome a chance to escape their bleak surroundings. A marriage in China would provide an escape from such a life.
