It's all about the fight huh Tony? It's all about the people who make a living off the fight being disappointed. Most are unwilling to even wait to learn more about her. To see how she does with her meetings with Senators and the hearings. No, better to savage her now and get your "fight" another way.
People like me don't really care about the fight. We care about getting conservatives on the court to end the judicial tyranny. If we can do that quietly, without spending a lot of time and money fighting, so much the better. I have no idea if Meirs is the "right" person for the job, but I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt while she goes through the process and make up my mind at the end, and not beforehand like so many conservative pundits who have a financial interest in fight.
Fox link works, but NOT the WMET link. sorry to bother you with a minor detail.
GO OLLIE!
Ollie North up!
Of all the shows and all the commentators weighing in on this Tony is the first one I have not had the urge to swear at. I like his approach to it. This is how our discourse should be. We should not be calling President Bush a liar or saying he betrayed anyone we a collective we, sound like loons when we freak out!
It will be elections of 2006 that will be important to gain as many CONSERVATIVE seats as possible.
Link not working! :>(
LMAO!!
That was a very cute story about him getting the news on air about his new grandbaby.
I understand your view. I don't agree that we have been lied to, but I understand that you feel that way.
I think that the President believes that he is upholding his promise.
And you have made it clear that you think that he hasn't upheld his promise.
Thanks for posting such a thoughtful article.
I followed the Mark Levin thread last night, reading his take, and also taking note of Miss Morple's thinking. Both articulated sound, if exclusive, arguments.
I think what I find troubling is that Miers is SOOOO differnt from Roberts, in education, in apparent ability, in track records. Yet they were nominated just a couple of months apart, by the same president. We have no way of judging a pattern of judicial selection with these wildly different nominees.
It may well be that Miers, or someone like her, is all that can be supported by the Rinos. But was the election of '04 about what we think we can squeak through??
Bush has capital left, maybe not a lot, but he still has some. This is the fight to expend it on. Is he saving it for the corrupt politicos in LA?
I'd like to support him, she seems like a nice lady, but this is a slap in the face to everyone who worked hard to re-elect him in '04.
I look forward to reading and hearing continued discussions on this, trying to make sense of a bigger plan, some clearer thinking on the part of W.

LOL! Okay, yesterday I "broke" the stream and today I summarized your view incorrectly.
I should quit while I am behind. LOL!
We can't do anything about the WMET link. You'll have to go to them if you need help with it.

I absolutely love Ollie North and would be happy to see him in any influential position. His reporting from Iraq is just the best.
