I agree with everything you said with the exception of this sentence.
We, the conservatives, are having the hearings right now, live and in public for all the world to see as well as the infiltrators among us.
I am sick to death of all the bashing of President Bush! In the first few minutes of a VWRC meeting last night, some things were said that led me to believe it was to be a Bash Bush fest. I pushed back my chair saying, if this meeting was called to bash the President, I am leaving.
Amazingly, everyone started falling all over themselves saying no. I think conservatives/Republicans are so afraid of being out of the "mainstream" that they have joined the frey. The problem, IMO, is that they have allowed the "hasbeenmedia" to define what "mainstream" America is today, and they don't have a clue what the real mainstream America is.
Do I agree with everything that PRESIDENT Bush says or does? No, of course not. However, I try not to go ballistic and crazy to give the others ammunition to use in their hatred for this PRESIDENT.

You have a good sense of reasoning,pragmatism, and I hope it rubs off on some others that cannot see the big picture. It is always prudent to hold your gunfire until you see someone (like enemy)to shoot at especially if it looks like your gun is aimed at a member of your own Army.
