PETA Wants School To Punish Boys Who Ate Live Fish

A couple of Washington state teens are in a bit of trouble for eating seafood, of sorts.

Two boys swallowed live goldfish during an assembly at Todd Beamer High School in Federal Way. A school district spokeswoman said the kids were apparently fulfilling a promise they made if one was elected a class officer.

The boys got a stern talking-to and a letter to their parents.

But some animal rights activists feel the boys should be in hot water for eating live fish. A spokeswoman for PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said the stunt deserves harsher punishment. PETA said killing fish in the name of school spirit is unacceptable.

If the school caves in to PETA's demands, Washingtonians should have an anti-PETA "gulp-in", where goldfish are swallowed wholesale in protest. Those who are too squeamish to do it themselves can bring a dog; it's not like the fish will know the difference.

So by what authority does Peta make this demand? LOL, are they the great and powerful Peta, all must obey? Sounds like they want revenge on the evil humans for harming the gentle goldfish, rather than 'suitable punishment'. Goldfish who would be readily gobbled up by larger fish if left in the 'wild'.

Do they launch lawsuits against the people who eat live things on that show? No, at least not that I have heard.

Keep these PETA perverts away from schools and School children. There should be a restraining order nation wide against all PETA people keeping them at least a mile away from school property.

We didn't dissect them . Watched how they responded to stimuli. The rest of the critters ended up in my garden doing what they do best . Makin' Earth .The one that didn't make it fell prey as if a bird ate it .(Bad)Luck of the draw.
