I did. I didn't even know Katie -- Brandon's fiancée -- was going to be there. She said she'd heard so much about me from Mark, Brandon, and their friends that she had been looking forward to meeting me for a long time. I had no idea. How can you NOT like a stranger who donates half a day to moving you to your new home? LOL She really is an amazing young woman.
Kristy and family -- I discovered, in meeting them, why I was so drawn to this particular apartment. And am meeting some very nice people at church who are going out of their way to help me settle in, be friends, etc.
It is terrific that you made new friends and found the perfect place. It is good to hear stories of strangers willing to jump in and help where needed.
