As recently as 10 years ago, the GOP understood how to attract and retain my vote.

There is no longer an alternative. That's the problem. I voted for republicans to make government smaller.

You're going to have to be a bit more specific. With Souter, Kennedy, and O'Conner behind them I think the Repubs have a pretty good record of stealth liberal judges. And I still have plenty of doubts about Roberts and Miers.
