I can tell you unequivocally that he did not try to get in at halftime. By halftime he was already dead and the gates were locked, not alowing spectators out. If he tried to get in, as some reports have indicated, it was before the game, or very early in the game. The explosion was (as I recall) early in the 2d quarter. (I was at the game.)
Just saw the channel 9 report. I'll try to get the transcript. Apparantly Hinrichs tried to get into Gate 6, but ran away when the guard asked to search the backpack.
