Good to hear at least some local radio affiliates are carrying news about this and discussion. The key fact IS the attempted entry into the stadium, IMHO. With that, everything else falls into place. Otherwise, Boron can continue his ridiculous PC rhetoric.
The guard at the gate mentioned someone ran after he was confronted to search his backpack. Has this guard confirmed the person was Joel III? Maybe it was another student actually trying to sneak alcohol in. Perhaps Joel III didn't try to get in at half time.

That is incorrect, since the name is linguistically a Germanic kind of name (such as Ulrich, Dietrich, many others) AND the family is Lutheran. It seems to me that the ethnic background of the bomber is not relevant BECAUSE he had in fact lost contact with his roots in getting in volved with this, so there was no reason for anyone to throw in some misdirection.

I tend to agree. Just like the NYC stuff, I saw a brief mention that went something like "sources say 3 men have been caught, but no idea who they are, where they are from, where they were detained or who captured them". I hope we never do find out, then someone will want to know if panties were put on their heads.
And instead of specific information, we should always be told, taught, ingrained, etc. on things to look for and to be aware (swarthy looking men with backpacks is a start).
My, my. Isn't this why we send the children to college? So they can meet and enjoy people from cultures other than our own? You members of the VRWC make it sound as if this depressed young fellow was a member of some weird death cult. After all, aren't we free to seek the same God in many different ways in this great country of ours, which admits people of many different creeds, even those who claim they can get to Paradise by blowing up themselves and a football stadium full of their classmates and friends? One religion is quite as good as another, you know. I have personally known many Norwegian Lutherans, who after a long dark winter, have been known to use very shocking and offensive language which creates an environment hostile to women and minority groups. This is terror, too, you know.

With all the news about the misinformation coming out during the coverage during Katrina, I am suspicious, as well. I'm seeing too many anonymous sources, or second hand witnesses being cited in some of these stories.
