OCALA - Using one of the area's busiest roads Sunday, thousands of people lined portions of U.S. 441 between McIntosh and Lady Lake to take a stand against abortion.

The one-hour event was part of the nationwide silent prayer vigil, Life Chain.

Yeah, because we could have known who those unborn children would have turned out to be.

They are reasons for the death penalty by trial, not for killing them without one.

i have a friend who is 65. She is just a little too old to have had abortion available when she became pregnant out of wedlock at 19. She gave the baby up for adoption. Years later, she had a son and daughter, but later was divorced. Her children were bitter and the relationships are still rocky. One of moved to a foreign country and gave up his U.S. citizenship, so she never sees him or his children from his two marriages. The other one chose never to have children.

One day, her first child, a daughter, then 39, called on the phone.

"What took you so long?" she said. They have been amazingly close ever since. The "found" daughter has three beautiful children and a successful husband. After the adoptive parents died, the "found" daughter simply transferred her daughtering behavior to her birth mother. They talk on the phone every day, spend holidays together and dicker over what foods, gifts, clothes and privileges to give the three grandchildren. She delivers food to her "son-in-law's" office - the husband of the "found" daughter - when he works late, and he does errands for her.

I have asked her what she thinks she would have done if she were born later, when abortion was available. She is a very honest person, and she says she probably would have had an abortion rather than go through the pain of disappointing her parents, ending her carefree adolescence, being rejected by the boy and giving up her child. She says it's just incredible luck that it wasn't available to her.

It's almost Biblical. Kinda makes you think.

There is an interesting film Manhunt about a big game hunter that stalks Adolf Hitler before World War II. He, of course, did it for sport. Film was set about 1940 or 1941, and the plot was interesting. Part of the plot was that the hunter became the hunted.

So turn-about is fair play. Does that mean you should have been aborted by your mother? Do you feel that this should have happened?

Or do you believe in time machines to be able to predict the future? How does one know that a baby will became a sadistic killer? What is the medical test?

And how often to we hear the link between breast cancer and abortions. Not nearly enough. Not to mention the emotional damage it does. Anybody, including the President, who doesn't think RoevWade should be thrown into the sewer, is either completely ignorant, or just plain evil.
