Peter Paul was not allowed to be heard in the David Rosen trial. This time will be different. No Clinton appointed judge is going to be able to set the stage for a phony show trial. Everything is going to be out there.

Doug- the witnesses in this case are as extraordinary as the notion that a Senator and a President conspired together and were aided and abetted by TWO Chairmen of the DNC to defraud an erstwhile business associate of millions in secret campaign support to ensure the First Lady-Senate candidate's election at any cost.

Witnesses with whom I personally discussed my activities with the Clintons, who were my guests at one of the three fundraisers I underwrote and hosted were: Larry King, Barbara Streisand, Cher, John Travolta, Shirley McLaine, Cindy Adams, Muhammad Ali, Ed Rendell.. others include Mike Wallace who prepared to do a 60 Minutes exclusive interview with me in Brazil, spent 3 hours on the phone with me, sent his producer to spend a week with me in Brazil preparing, and the day he was to get on the plane he canceled because my concert producer Gary Smith, who produces the Grammy's and other specials for CBS, admitted to Mike that Hillary called him to reduce the $850k fee he was charging me. Also, Michael Jackson met with me in my office a few times when he wanted to join with us to by Marvel Entertainment and we discussed the role the former President would have in promoting our company.

Peter -- as someone who was a staunch anti-communist and who had admired and worked with Ronald Reagan, FReepers wonder why in the world you would fund Hillary?

The government used the extradition process in Brazil to delay my return to the US so it could coerce me to plead guilty to its first indictment of me, for allegedly destroying the company I created with my best friend, Stan Lee. I refused to plead guilty to something that the Eastern District of New York US Attorney admitted I did not do when I finally returned. The government then changed my indictment to focus on technical violations of 10(b)5 rather than a "pump and dump" which had been plastered all over the media when my indictment was announced while I was legally living in Brazil. There was no $25 million fraud, there was no fraud of any investors. There was a statutory misuse of brokerage accounts encouraged by the brokerage houses themselves. Since my family lost $70 million in equity when my stock collapsed, and the government accused me of netting $1 million from my "scheme" (less than half what I paid for Bill Clinton to help me build the company) they finally changed the indictment a year after I returned to omit those absurdities.
After I was detained in August, 2001, while preparing to return to New York voluntarily, I was transferred to a maximum security state penitentiary in contravention of my rights as an administrative detainee awaiting extradition to the US. The US Embassy intervened to put me in harm's way. Bill Clinton made his first ever trip to Brazil in October, 2001, (two months after my arrest there) and spent a day at the US Embassy. Since that time, a fellow American, in my cell with me, was tortured by Federal Brazilian officials. He was told it was a message for me to shut up. The US Embassy covered up the torture and after Chris Ruddy of News Max inquired, a bogus investigation was conducted resulting in my placement in the worst prison in the capitol of the country, along with convicted Brazilian murderers serving an average of 100- 200 years each. After the US Embassy was notified to pick me up finally in July, 2003, I was transferred to a special part of the prison reserved for "incorrigible convicts" who enjoyed burning fellow convicts alive in their cell. coincidentally, I was placed with the only Al Queda terrorist leader in jail in South America, Assad Barakat. Because no one wanted to hurt him, and he protected me, I survived the two months the government waited to pick me up after they were notified to get me. After the NY Post ran a story about what was going on, "Cell Hell for Hillary Nemesis" I was finally picked up and returned to NY. (In fact although CNN broadcast his picture next to that of Bin Laden in global news stories, as bin Laden's right arm, Assad was a victim of the corrupt government of Paraguay being pressured by the US to produce al queda terrorists in this hemisphere after 9/11, and Barakat would not be extorted by corrupt anti terrorist police who retaliated by making him Bin Laden's right arm for CNN! Strange ironies abound.

For those who have been hoping that the Clintons would one day be brought to justice, those words will be music to their ears. A word of caution to those who really despise the Clintons. This is a civil trial. The Clintons will not end up in Gitmo.

I don't think a witness can take the fifth in a civil trial (without essentially conceding). Can the testimony later be used by a criminal court?

It certainly can later be used in court. But who will have the guts to do it? The Bush Justice Department? They totally gave Hillary a pass.

There are many Dems who want to get rid of the Clintons' control of the party. They recognize that during Clinton's administration they lost control of Congress and eventually the WH. The Clintons are all about themselves and will use whatever means necessary to further their own political ambitions. Remember triangulation?

Even if they do a hit piece on Peter, it is news and gives him a chance to respond.

I only supported Hillary because it was part of a business arrangement I had negotiated with Bill through his admitted "eyes and ears" Jim Levin. My interest was to employ an ex President (three of whom I had worked with in the past Nixon, Reagan and Ford) to help me build a global entertainment company focused on inspiring and motivating adolescents around the world with unique super heros created by my 80 year old partner Stan Lee.

That was the extent of my interest in Hillary Clinton. The result can be read in the narrative to my civil suit Paul v Hillary Rodham Clinton et al, at www.hillcap.org

I'll believe it when I see it. I can't help it -- I'm skeptical of WaPo.
