I always believed the same thing. Behind the scenes, Hillary did not want anyone to get to far out in front in 2004 so it would keep her options open. If no one had enough delegates, she could have been named the nominee at the convention. Just think -- she would not have spent any of her money, the other candidates would not have said anything nasty about her for a soundbite, and she would only have to run a very short campaign.

Really? Think about it. In 2004, Hillary was still a Liberal. It was too early. I think she wanted Kerry to lose.
