If I was a betting man, I'd wager that there is one (or more) agents provocateur among us.

This whole VCDL/NRA pissing contest reeks of it.

Personally, I suspect Kilgore has some reason for not answering the VCDL survey. It may be a good reason. It may be a bad one.

But there is no doubting who will be the best guy for conservatives on the RKBA issue (or any other issue for that matter).

Save the pissing contest for another day...

No doubt it is a pissing contest.

There are many professional political types & lobbyists who would prefer if VCDL went away. These types tell campaigns to not answer the surveys. The failure to answer the survey was a bad sign, However the real heartache got going by Kilgore staff attacking Phil Van CLeave. Not a cool move and Kilgore's seeming endorsement of these tactics turns me off. Kilgore could have ended the "pissing contest" by saying the remark was uncalled for but he choose to let it stand. That is a reflection on his leadership.

He could still answer the survey and apoligize for his staff members comments - better late then never.
