Meirs just doesn't know the law and would soon be an embarrassment but comforting to her supporters based on her votes.

We really needed a rock solid proven conservative who was steeped in the law such as a Janice Rogers Brown.

Now we've got Miers. Everyone has their own opinion, my opinion is that she is a terrible pick and we had many who would have been much better. I think she's a wonderful person and a fine lady, but this is not the kind of job suited for on the job training.

Yes, it's true that people that "don't know the law" end up heading prestigous law firms and Bar Associations. Happens all the time.

how do we know that Harriet Miers doesn't know anything about the law? Or the Constitution for that matter?
