Nobody worry about this divestment crap. The churches in question are only harming themselves by restricting their investment universe. Let 'em. This will have no impact whatsoever on the companies that do business with Israel.

My wife and I attended a local Presbyterian church for a number of years until they went nuts at the national level and we divested ourselves of them.
The interesting thing about the membership number that is thrown out of 2.4 million is that if the membership of our church was any indication they are padding it by maybe 40%.

I will never understand this fetish for the "plight of the Palestinians" that is so popular among these churches and in Europe. For most Americans, "Palestinian" is a synonym for Munich, 1972, the Achille Lauro, and suicide bombers.

Shame on the ELCA branch of the Lutheran church. I let my Pastor know how I felt about this and they are considering splitting from the ELCA. They have withheld funds from them for over a year but have not made a decision yet. I don't think they will split until the homosexuals take over. I also checked into their other ELCA proposals and they state that they think "Allah" is the same word as the word "God". The ELCA gives me the willies. I will continue to urge them to go for the split. As our LORD says, I will bless them that bless you and curse them that curse you....
