He has fought the Beltway Society in D. C. since he went into office.

Could you give some specifics on this? I would argue that the massive expansion of government AND spending render any statement of bush being "anti-beltway" moot.

You claim that people aren't listening..........what do you mean? I think the majority of people listen very intently, and are disappointed with what they hear.

Our current leadership has turned away from those God-given rights and freedoms in favor of a big government globalist bureaucracy.

I can agree with your point on entitlements, however the administration has successfully passed into law the largest government hand-out program ever!

If you want smaller less intrusive government. A government that puts Americans first....this bunch in Washington has got to go.

The enemy is the House and the Senate, not the President. The president gets the blame for everything and the elected legislature likes it that way. According to the U. S. Constitution the elected legislature that WE the PEOPLE elected are in charge. From George Washington to George Bush this has been the way it is. Yes, does the President ask for things that he thinks he need to conduct the day to operation of the Country, yes. The President signs the Bills into law that the legislature that WE the PEOPLE made. If he vetos them they can override the veto. If you don't like what is going on go after the real enemy, the House and the Senate. You and I put them in Washington, make phone calls and write letters and tell them they need to listen to us because WE put them there. If you don't like this okay, more people need to see that WE the PEOPLE put them there and we have to let them know that we can take them out and put others in especially some of those that have been there for twenty and thirty years. WE are the government not them, the elected legistlature are supposed to do what WE sent them there to do.

The problem with a us against them argument is one begins to think in terms of winning or losing, which is tragic. It should be about debate. We need to get back to the kind of give and take as the Lincoln-Douglas debates. Ideology has an important place with in our politics. It helps us to better review public policy , to set laws and rules. It helps us to understand our direction. I take issue once it becomes a contest of you lose, I win, I beat on you even when you may be right. We all then lose.
The Founders of the Constitution encouraged (setup) a two party system within the framework of the three branches of government, so that no single party or ideology would become dominant, a government "of the people for the people". They wanted a healthy debate not hate. Let us here from both sides (Left and Right), then we the people can decide.
