It's time, folks.

We need to start keeping track of these predictions. And those that put forward predictions that turn out to be total ka ka (as I believe this one will) must be ruthlessly dogged until they cease to prattle on at the expense of REALITY.

Now, to be honest, that applies equally to pro and anti Miers forces and their respective predictions, regardless of my own prejudices. I do think that those siding with the President and Harriet Miers are far less extreme and "over the brink" than those opposed, but only time will tell.

But this is a turning point.

There are forces at work here that are totally divorced from reality and will do harm to the continuation of human civilization. It's that serious.

One side or the other in this debate has gone over to evil. That is, in essence, the charge laid down by those opposed to Miers.

Fine. I take up that challenge.

I claim to champion right and good. I am no longer neutral and urging patience. This post has driven me over the edge. I will stand with the leader of the free world in his fight against the forces determined to enslave humanity.

That includes standing with him in this fight. Even those who claim to be our friends can be tricked into serving an evil cause. I believe that is happening now.

I trust George W. Bush.

I do not trust:

Patrick J Buchannan
William Kristol
George Will
Or ABCBSNBCNNBC or the F'n New York Times, who are all relishing and promoting this fight!

or any of the other half baked Bush haters who have made raping this women their charge in life.

I understand the angst of feeble minds not able to understand that there might be some considerations beyond their parochial and limited point of view. Understanding does not equal sympathy or agreement.

George W. Bush is engaged in the fight to save human civilization. Does he truly need this crap? Does he deserve it?

I think not.

"Ben Barnes was Lt. Governor from 1969 to 1973.

His story was that he helped Bush get into the TANG as Lt. Governor, but Bush enlisted on May 27, 1968."

As former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman likes to say, "the timeline will get you every time."

A person riding as high as Barnes and the Democrats were in 1968 (remember HHH carried Texas too) cannot be expected to remember if he was house speaker or lt. governor in May 1968. I have often seen people who are considered "experts" who just come to pieces trying to recall specific months and days from some 37 years ago. But it may be that Barnes fabricated his role in the Bush National Guard appointment. His daughter seemed to think so in 2004.

Who listens to Farah anymore? I think I had WND bookmarked oh maybe 1.5 years ago. His bizarre ranting and raving did it for me. I love how he always has "unreleased/secret" information that no one else has. ROFL.

Are you aware of the latest report on Drudge that Miss Miers spoke out against the Federalist Society in 1990?

Is Farah now saying that Dan Rather was right in the fall of 2004?

Farah is the Crazy Aunt that has broken out of the basement and embarrassed the family.

Yep. Though my statement had nothing to do with Miers and everything to do with Farah (the crackpot). I am getting queasier about Miers as time passes by, especially the way Bush (and company) are handling this situation. Disgraceful all the way around.

I agree that Washington is in dire need of change and the crybaby ultra-conservatives are not very different from the ultra-liberals and they completely misunderstand G.W. Bush. He does not conduct his presidency by consulting fickle daily polls.

Yes politicians do need to be changed for the same reasons as baby diapers, but replacing them with containers full of recycled (good ole boys and girls) garbage that created the original messes is neither prudent nor is it wise.

Political extremists on either side of the political aisle and that disregard the United States constitution are dangerous to this wonderful country.

I'm no great fan of the Miers nomination, but Joseph Farah comes across like a simpering twit with this nonsense.

I agree with you, if you delete three words:

"I never understood what all the fuss was over the TANG situation....so Bush got a cushy postition to keep from going to Nam....he was a rich kid of the boomer generation...big chunk of them did that....what's the big deal? It has no effect on who he is or what he is doing today."

While I vehemently oppose the nomination of Harriet Miers to SCOTUS, I also strongly agree with your point. I've never quite gotten what all the fuss was about. Robert Byrd's a former Klan member who defends the KKK to this day and the Democrats defend him. Bush caught a break and the liberals try to run him out of town. Very inconsistent.
