'Millions More' Not Adding Up To the Original Celebration Begins Tomorrow

Ask black men who attended the Million Man March in 1995 about the experience, and a typical response is a smile and a gaze into a faraway place followed by wistful remembrances of the "brothers" they met and the lift in spirits they felt for weeks and months after it was over.
Keith Brockington missed the inspiring pep rallies in advance of the march, the caravan of buses from all over the country and the chance to stand on the Mall to be counted. He was in Germany, a staff sergeant in the Air Force, repairing aircraft and wishing he were home.
Now a civilian and settled in his native Baltimore, Brockington, 49, has a bus seat reserved for this weekend's 10th anniversary celebration -- and he plans to bring six or seven children from his apartment complex whom he helps with homework and takes on field trips. "I have to be there," he said. "I missed the Million Man March."

Curious, what is the purpose of this march?
I believe it's to instill a sense of responsibility and pride in black males.
Seems to me if he truly wanted to do this, he could stop blaming "the Man" for everything wrong in the black community.
Certainly the event is billed as a celebration of responsibility and pride, but I believe its actual purpose is to promote black separatism and collectivism.
DC Freepers should have a banner plane fly overhead with some moonbat conspiracy slogan on it. Any suggestions?

I guess but I just don't get it. Personally, I don't think a person can get either of those things from marching in Washington.
The Federal government is too terrified of its subjects to permit banner planes over DC these days.

Louie, Jessie and Al ought to keep the "marchers" marching until they reach New Orleans, where they can actually help their "brothers"!
According to a Black caller to WRKO's Jon DePetro Show, the purpose of the Million Man March was to sell Louis Farrakan shirts for $17.
