"And I think that we are doing a disservice for the American people when we focus on other issues and not her record and qualifications and experience, because that's what matters when you're on the nation's highest court," McClellan added.

What Record?
What Qualifications?
What Experience?

None of these are public knowledge so what does he expect people to talk about? How does she feel about Amendment this or Article that? No one knows, so we're supposed to just talk about her religion being a big part of her life? I still can't get over what a crock this nomination is.

What's TRULY entertaining here is that just Wednesday, Bush was pushing HM's "faith" as one of her most redeeming qualities, and a key reason why he nominated her for SCOTUS.

Now (only Thursday), the WH is angry that we are "focusing on side issues like her faith, and not her qualifications" [WHAT qualifications?!].

This would be comical if it weren't so freakin' tragic.

As others here have said, she HAS NO RECORD for us to talk about. All evidence is that she's a flaming lib, and that's only come out in bits and spurts.

I thought that was what the hearings were about?

Did you dissect the past history of every single nomination in your lifetime? I'm guessing that like 99% of the pundits and assorted hacks, you couldn't have given a rip less about Supreme court nominations until recently..when certain spoiled mouthpieces started acting as if they were the president's puppetmasters.
