By federal law, Texas is the only state in the U.S. that can fly its flag at the same height as the U.S. flag.

OK this isn't true, but we're still the best state in the best country in the world.

I will repeat something I've posted before. I've traveled half the world and lived in five states and six countries. If you are overseas and ask an American where he is from 95% of the time they will say American or the United States. The 5% who do not will say New York (meaning the city) or California. If they are Texan however, 99% will say TEXAS.

Even barefoot kids on the Masai Mara know where Texas is!

What a bunch of baloney! Isn't Texas that little state down by Mexico...about 1/3rd the size of ALASKA?

I've heard of it but never had any reason to go there.
