tinfoil aside, was this in Notepad, Wordpad, MS Word, was it at a DOS-prompt?

Hi, F15Eagle, now I have to do an experiment. When my computer is left unattended for a period of time, it goes black. One can change the length of time before it puts the monitor in standby, but I guess we would need to know more about whether they are saying they went to the computer and it was black and they moved the mouse and that is what came up (maybe) of if they saw it when they first got to his apartment (probably not).

Don't expect journalists to ever get all of the details right. When the reports came out that Atta and crew were whoring it up at a strip joint before the 9-11 attacks, it was said that he was playing pinball. Later the pinball machine was identified (still as a pinball machine) called Golden Tee. Well anyone who has been to a bar here or there has probably seen a Golden Tee game. it is a golf VIDEO game, not a pinball machine.

Little detail in the long run but something that is so off as to call into question any "facts" the journalist insists on reporting.

In Win98 click on the screesaver tab. Change none to "scrolling marquee". Above the time setting, click settings, type in your message. Click in "format text" to change fonts, and select scroll speed. When the screensaver activates, your message will appear on the screen, scrolling across. Click OK for that box, Apply on the next box, and you're all set.

Similar functions are available in other versions of Windows.

Some micromanagers will make folks use this feature for messages such as 'at lunch, back at 12:30'
