I agree however it doesn't explain why the MSM tilts to the left and call it objective journalism. One surely can tilt to the right under the same medium and achieve a greater audience given that Americans consider themselves more conservative on issues than liberal. I would hazard the reason why the MSM tilt to the left is because they have somehow taken upon themselves to be the "guardians" of the disenfranchised, voice of the voiceless and all that crap. It is elitism mascarading as social consciousness
I've come to the view that it's difficult to overestimate the effect of the arrogance of "objective" journalism. Arrogance, combined with cowardice in the sense that the individual journalist doesn't control journalism and depends on the protection of the rest of journalism. The result is a bullying attitude toward anyone whose principles or interests cause them to refuse to go along and get along with journalism.

The only people whose interests run counter to journalism are those whom reality rather than illusion favors. People who work to a bottom line rather than a PR bluff.

There was an interesting update posted on the blog:
*UPDATE* I've been told, through reliable sources, that something interesting happened on Camp Ramadi some hours after this engagement. It seems the Iraqi civilian authorities in the city of Ramadi contacted the camp and requested we treat some "civilians" who had been wounded in some kind of explosion. I guess the higher ups agreed. Those who showed up were "MAMs", Military Aged Males, and a couple children. No females. The MAMs had very serious injuries caused by an explosion. However, the few children that were treated only had one or two cut's on their arms, nothing serious, which looked to be caused by a "sharp" knife like object. This is of course not "official" but anyone who has had to deal with the insurgents know that they know we are very caring towards children. I guess kids are a soft spot for many of us warriors. The insurgents know we would not have treated only MAMs. I'm sure you can figure the rest out for yourselves. *After that strike on the insurgent position, things here around Ramadi have been very calm and attacks with in the city and its outskirts have been very low.*

He doesnt spell it out, but these sick bastards needed treatment, so gathered up some children, cut their arms, and presented themselves all as civilians wounded in the attacks to get treatment. We need another followup, and hopefully those scumbags were detained as terrorists.
