Bill Kristol was anything but universally admired on this website. To suggest the he "could do no wrong" is a stretch.

Yeah. I, for one, has NEVER admired Mr Kristol. I suspect you too are one who has never admired him. Lots of us Freepers who have different positions on variety of issues have never cared for the slimy little worm

I haven't liked Kristol since the 2000 campaign and his love affair with McCain. Anyone supporting McCain is someone on my "do not trust" list and Kristol is right at the top.

Anyone inside the WH talking to Kristol will be looking for another job IMHO -- Kristol is trying to stay relevant and not doing a very good as he has alienated too many people.

I wouldn't take the Weekly Standard if they sent it to me for free now!

Oh he was. Along with Krauthammer and any other talking head that advocated invading Iraq. Articles from the Weakly Standard were posted as gospel supporting the arguments about WMDs, etc.
