But something in the article has me wondering...
Normal police Lt. Mark Kotte said authorities were still investigating how Adeyooye ended up in Mississippi. But he added: "It is not an incident of somebody going around preying on college students."
It appears that he's saying, "We don't know what happened, but this certainly DIDN'T happen!
How can they rule something out, when they're saying that they don't know what happened?

It is a convoluted statement. But maybe they suspect something more sinister such as racism. I'm not saying that's a fact but maybe that's what they're intimating.
