I hope by now it is Sgt. Alvarez. It is good to see a man diligent in his protection of the country and enforcing the law !!
I think we also need to clean out the congress and the courts, and probably most of the state govts as well....
susie
Well, I used to be in the marines and am glad they are still stringent about security. On the local army base here I see many people going on and off base with no "real" id checks. The guards just a half-a$$ check and wave most people on.
All a bunch of losers, IMO. Look what has happened to this country since those "benign ogliarchs" have been in power!
AMERICA NEEDS A CHANGE!!
Now that's an ILLEGAL Immigration control idea I can get behind! Blackbird.

About that time the PA went off with LOUD Mexican song from an adjacent room. Several attendees jumped up heading to an adjacent room. It stopped. Same thing happened 3 or 4 times during the talk.
He spoke of the need for a Constitutional Amendment to the 14th and said it was in the works.
He also spoke of the sorry visa situation. He said he'd received a call from a relative in NC, I believe, seeking his intervention on behalf of one of his employees. It turns out the employee left the country and couldn't get back in the states because he'd originally arrived here on a "skilled visa," and the relative was employing him in his car wash. Too bad ... couldn't help him out.
I was WAY okay with my Rep until he voted for CAFTA. I thought that was exceptionally sorry and emailed him to that effect.
At one point in the meeting, a woman gets up and announces how sick she is of "immigrants" being blamed for everything. She then announces she is a Native American. Rohrabacher tells her if she's a Native American he doesn't understand her concern because she has nothing to worry about. After that, she stormed out of the meeting.
Much has been written here and elsewhere about the 14th Amendment. I believe it is fairly evident that this outcome is not what its framers intended.
No, only a decision from the SCOTUS
The US Constitution addresses the issue ("under the control of") and the only Supreme Court decision that tangentially involved the issue, interpreted the clause to exclude the children of illegal aliens from "automatic citizenship" in its published findings that supported its ruling on a closely related matter.
The court has never directly ruled on the issue. Had Governor Gray Davis not let California's appeal of a federal district court ruling die on the vine in 1999 the SCOTUS probably could have been forced to revisit the earlier commentary.
Interesting.
Thanks for the ping, I posted it for you on the Threat Matrix, at least they caught them on the way in.
The ones that scare me, are the so called airplane mechanics that they keep arresting for fake mechanics cards.
and the Civilian Contractor will shrug his shoulders, say "we didn't know" and go merrily about his business hiring new Illegal Aliens to replace those just arrested.
The bastard company should immediately lose it's contract and have the hell fined out of it.

I am an American citizen married to a non US citizen, both my children were born in an American military hospital while I was working for the US government. Everything is not cut and dried.
