Why would any entity allow liquor license brokers? That kind of setup is an invitation to corruption.

Another example of the two justice systems in America....one for the rich and the other one for the rest of us.

O'Malley you'll remember, on national tv,called our Commander in Chief a terrorist because Baltimore's share of Homeland Security funds, after pouring in by the zillions, were being reduced.

And even if you allowed such a noxious policy, why would a convicted felon be permitted to hold such a position?

The state prosecutor is investigating how Gilbert Sapperstein, managed to have nine months shaved off his sentence

I can't figure out how that could happen either. I'm sure there wouldn't be any kind of payoffs involved.

Sapperstein pleaded guilty in May to ... bribery

I used to think the smell of corruption in Washington, D.C. came from within the city's borders, now I'm finding out that a lot of that is coming from Baltimore. Dude steals 3.3 million dollars and gets jail time at home? GIVE ME A BREAK....there has to be a joke here somewhere!! Un-freakin'-believable!!!!

9 months in jail for stealing $3.3 million dollars? Pathetic. Someone could rip off a few stereos and get more time. That isn't justice.

That is a safe assumption whenever a crooked politician's political party is not mentioned.

If the politician is a Republican, you can count on it being mentioned in the first paragraph, and maybe even in the headline.

Here are some earlier articles on the Sapperstein's.
I'm the Donald Stone mentioned in the Hot Contracts article.
If you want more info. on the Sapperstein's and their associates do a google search for Maryland Corruption.

More than that. The City school system got bail-out money from tne State, and they are being sued for an inadequate special-ed program.

The Sappersteins are now in the process of building a new Hyatt at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. All of the major players in the deal are tied to the O’Malley/Curren family through donations and previous projects.
