Miss America Still Homeless

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) Oct. 21, 2005 - Miss America still has no place to call home.

C-E-O Art McMaster says no final decision has been made on where the famous beauty pageant will be held next year. But he says three cities are still in the running. The pageant had been held in Atlantic City for 84 years. But because of high production costs, officials decided to seek a new home where the host city or entity would pay for the right to hold the annual extravaganza.

Although, Miss America lost it's network T-V contract last year because of poor ratings, cable channel Country Music Television decided to pick it up. It will air January 21st.

But C-M-T executives are still evaluating telecast production issues -- arena, lights, staging -- before deciding which city should host the pageant.

Gut feeling, I bet it ends up in New Orleans.

Oh the humanity, most of us won't get to see it. We won't get to see the accordion players during the talent contest, etc. Let's face it, the whole thing went downhill when they fired Burt Parks as emcee.

I used to enjoy the baton twirling even more than the accordions.

Who cares?
And if you are the winner of the Miss America contest what is your goal?
To bring world peace and better skin care products to the world.
Just shut up and take your top off.

My gut feeling is that the democrats will blame Reagan...for the homelessness.

Very misleading title. I thought the woman was on the streets or living out of her car.
