The White House has itself to blame for a letting the MSM set the agenda, and not trying to counter with more news and/or media events highlighting the good/hard work our soldiers are doing over there.

I was once a lefty, and I can attest to the fact that membership in that exclusive club requires one to detest capitalism and eschew ethno-centrism; in other words, completely renounce one's American-ness and become a "citizen of the world".
Membership in the leftist cabal has its benefits and privileges, among them a warm, fuzzy sense of belonging to a superior cohort, and complete self-satisfaction due to blind faith in altruism and the resulting delusion of superior intelligence the faith engenders.
Leftism is at once a drug and a religion for its membership, and the mainstream media is the drug dispenser and preacher of the lies they must live to maintain the high and support the dogma.
