I think not. I suspect reporters under deadline pressure are converting a moment of bumping into someone at a restaurant who tells them he or she will not be interviewed into a semi-imagined interview.

While the press was looking the other way, a war was contuiing in Iraq, . I may be totally wrong in this, but the new Iraqi security force is being brought up to speed a lot faster than were thelocal forces in Korea and Vietnam.
