Where is my cuzzzzzz, Lady X? Has she been misbehaving again? This was her day to drive to doctor. Hope she won't be too beat to come say hello tonight.
Don't know if you knew that both her sons' homes suffered damage from Wilma in Florida. :(

Boo to you too. I watch a few of the most haunted but it always seemed to clash with something else that I would rather watch than that.
Did you ever see any of the Tales of the Unexpected

Thanks, dutchess, for the nice words, and I'm really sorry you feel so rotten - on your anniversary, too. :(

Okay...my ghost saga. First I must tell you I have never been one to believe in ghosts...although my secretary at the time was really into the occult, readings, seances etc.
Anyway about 15 years ago wierd stuff was happening around our house, magazines scattered. Initially blamed FredtheCat (who was acting REALLY WIERD too). Also, we really felt like someone was here. My secretary insisted that we had a "spook" (my affectionate term). No way I would believe it but one night Jerry was gone, I was sitting in the living room with a full view of the kitchen. Fred was acting "wackey" again, constantly chasing something. I finally said outloud...OKAY, I'm tired of this if there is someone here...just give me a sign. All of a sudden the kitchen water turned on. Needless to say...I was a mess and sat frozen until Jerry got home.
I relied on Pat's expertise (my secretary who said she had different spirits at her homes growing up on and off). She said this one seemed "playful" and not destruction and just wan't a place to "hang out". We eventually dubbed him spook and he would occasional cause minor "disturbances" (like hiding airplane tickets etc.)
Now before you think me crazy we were going away for vacation and had a 30 something year old guy come to stay at the house and "dog and cat" sit. He had two of his single friends hang out (we have a great party house). When we returned....he embarrassingly asked if there was something I hadn't told him about the house. Seems "spook" had fun "playing with the boys".
My grandmother died a few months earlier and my mom insisted it was her letting us know she was okay. Whenever she visited she was always calling out...Come out spook!!! :o)
Anyway...after several months I got on the computer and lost all my data in my bank statement software. I was sure it was spook as he had been particularly ornary and I yelled at him that we welcomed him but enough was enough and this was crossing the line! Nothing out of him for weeks (AND I found out I CAUSED the computer crash). I actually felt GUILTY LOL!
Don't remember when he left....all of a sudden everything was calm....Fred returned to normal etc.
BTW, we have a lot of indian burial grounds in our area...and our neighbors (who are VERY SPOOK sensitive) had major issues at their house.
I also had some "spook" moments when I stayed with some friends in Sadona at a lodge nestled right next to the mountains where the cliff dwellers stayed. Another story for another day!!!!
And...p.s. I'M NOT making this up friends!

It probably seemed like forever though., *playful* ghost or not!

I'll just let everyone know here and now: I may ghost about but am not a ghost myself despite rumor to the contrary.
Please, no blue cornflower seeds on windowsills...
/ bad joke.
Pretty creepy in a way.

Sure thing - it looks good, doesn't it? And I don't even like pumpkin pie - I'll take pecan pie instead. :)

Speaking of pecan pie, made me feel a bit melancholy again today.
Pecan pie was my Dad's favorite pie and peach upsidedown cake his favorite cake - each smothered with whipping cream.
Today would have been Dad's 98th birthday. :)
