I would be willing to bet a significant amount of my retirement 401K that Kerry has a mole in the WH or DOD that leaked the POTUS's plan to reduce troop numbers as a Christmas gift to the troops and Amercia, after the upcoming Dec Iraq vote!!!

There is no reason Iraq cannot be sufficiently stable, no reason the majority of our combat troops can’t soon be on their way home, and no reason we can’t take on a new role in Iraq, as an ally not an occupier, training Iraqis to defend themselves.

This is one of several instances in which Kerry refers to occupation, yet HE KNOWS that the occupation officially and legally ended over a year ago. Even the U.N. -- even the Arab League fer chrissake -- officially recognizes this FACT. We are "an ally not an occupier" NOW, and Kerry knows this.

The only reason to use such language is the same reason it is used by organizations such al Qaeda and Code Pink -- to legitimize our (and the Iraqi people's) enemies. The only rationale is the same Kerry displayed a generation ago, to undermine American policy and America's allies.

You take the 40,000 additional he said we should send five months ago and subtract the 20,000 he says we should send home in December, for a net increase of 20,000.
