I agree that 48 minutes a day is enough bathroom time. But you all are being hypocrites. I mean, assembly line workers don't get to sit and surf the net all day. I notice FR's most active time is during the work hours, and I doubt you all are stay at home parents. I would venture to say most of you waste hours on the internet on top of bathroom breaks, lunch, and whatever else. So don't be so quick to judge.

****************

You have a point. Unfortunately, the workers at Ford may be pricing themselves out of their jobs.

I have owned Ford products, but never again. Ford puts out crap. In the bathroom... out of the bathroom... makes no difference as far as I can tell.

Actually the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen are very very anti show up at work f---ed up. We run against each other with trains. Mistakes are not fender benders. You make a bad mistake with a train and you end up in the news. I have photos to prove it. Give me an address and I will send em to ya.

Sometimes it DOES only take 2 minutes but sometimes..... oh well, I'll spare you the yucky details.

Well, I was thinking the same thing. Some weeks, minute visits would be quite the norm. Others? Well, there are days I could use up my 48 mins quite easily.

"But you all are being hypocrites. "

Well, it's in the FR rules:

Rule #1 - no democrats.
Rule #2 - unions are always wrong, and always bad.
...

I try to be objective. This is a tough one. I have to side with management on this one. It's a darn shame anyone has to be monitored to this level. But you can be sure, if the union workers are given 48 mins/shift, that some are going to the John for a 40 min cat nap.
I don't have a good answer, but 48 mins seems excessive.

I will just betcha that every red blooded American Union man working at Ford MOCO is taking 48 minutes of shit-break. Now please give me a break.

"Now please give me a break."

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you're the kind of frothing at the mouth union basher that causes problems.

If you read what I said, you would have noticed I acknowledged 48 minutes was too much.

There are two sides to every story. If you make it 10 minutes, and someone comes to work with a stomach problem, what then, write them up?

No need to answer, you'd fire them.

Man did you misread this one. Union Basher? I have been Union for almost thirty years. Whatever you are excused on this one. I was being sarcastic. Smile!!!

Well, you didn't have a sarcasm tag... and this place is decidedly anti-union. Must make your blood boil sometimes?
