If you want to win the battle but lose the war this will all but guarantee it. Every Republican candidate for the next decade would get tainted with the "extremist activist" brush.
I, for one, want a candidate we can elevate thru vigorous argument & debate. Don't hand the Dems the "I told you so" card..it's a loser...for us.
