Sheesh, there is some kind of bureaucracy for EVERYTHING, isn't there?

This occurs when there are too many confiscated tax dollars sloshing around, and too many unskilled dolts seeking government paychecks.

Speak, tagline, speak! Goooood tagline.

The difference between it and the cheap stuff is the same as the difference between steak at Ruth's Chris

The real steak eaters went to "Chris's" steak house. We went to Ruth's in NO once and only once. Over-priced and too glitzy.

I wonder if that Sideways movie wrecked The Hitching Post. The original one in Casmalia, CA burned down years ago. Best damn steaks I've had in my entire life.

Actually, I prefer Morton's of Chicago or Don Shula's steakhouse.

How to tell a real steak house. They never ask you which cut or how you want it cooked. They determine what the best cut of the day is and it is always cooked one way - their way!

That was my first thought, but most sashimi grade fish actually comes in frozen from Japan. You wouldn't want to eat local LA sushi.

As a sushi novice, and newly-returned to Southern California, where are the best places? You can freepmail me if you like. Thanks! Oh and we are in southern Orange County.

I don't know Southern California or I would help you. I live outside of Sacramento.

I also am not that fond of Sushi, but I had to try it. Some have a more fishy taste than others, therefore, I prefer the California Rolls. And Yes, sake is a great compliment with sushi. There is some information on sake, types of sake and how to serve sake at this site a came across while doing some research on sake and sushi. There are also some free recipes offered. The site is Lilmarkets.com then click on the me page at the top and you will see a link there that reads Lilmarkets home page.
I found it very informative and would like to pass it on. All the best!
