Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald did not find evidence to prove that there was a "broad conspiracy to out a covert agent for political gain. He did not find evidence of wide-ranging criminal behavior. He did not even indict the media's ordained villain, Karl Rove," writes David Brooks in Sunday's NY TIMES....Hofstadter argued that sometimes people who are dispossessed, who feel their country has been taken away from them and their kind, develop an angry, suspicious and conspiratorial frame of mind. It is never enough to believe their opponents have committed honest mistakes or have legitimate purposes; they insist on believing in malicious conspiracies.

The rats can't accept the fact Slick, The Slacker overseeing his Know-Nothing, Do-Nothing Administration was the most inept and corrupt presidency in America's history.
When TheClinton's entered the WH, it was one scandal after another starting with the Travel Office, real scandals hurting good, honest people.
It's taken the Rats almost 6 years to even come close to a Bush scandal.
Yes, the democRATS are are up to their usual shrill cries of treason, but I watched Fitzgerald on Friday and far as I can tell, Rove is still under investigation, and Fitzgerald seems to be convinced a crime was committed and that Plame's status at the CIA at the time merits all of this.
Also, Washington Post has an article today proclaiming that Vice President Cheney is closer to the controversy than proviously known. It will be interesting to see what plays out in the next few weeks.
For 7 years, the Bush Administration has played nice with these people. Time to change tactics, eh ?
as I can tell, Rove is still under investigation, and Fitzgerald seems to be convinced a crime was committed and that Plame's status at the CIA at the time merits all of this.
you had to be reading the tea leaves Fitzgerald advised not to, because he said the bulk of the investigation is done, it's already gone on a year longer than was warranted, and he wants to go home. He also said everybody needs to step back and take a deep breath, so stop hyperventilating.

Exactly. They will continue to try to change the standards of decency, abiding the law, values of bahavior, to try and bring the bar down to the "Clinton gutter level" as to make their behavior look normal. They cannot handle the FACT there was no substantial evidence that the original core of the investigation was ever committed -- that of outing the Plame woman.
When you compare this, to what Slick (and his "wife") were charged with, and the records they set for breaking the law, indictments, and convictions -- not even close.
Why are Dems so overheated?
They're still pouting because they lost the election. They're sore losers. Poor sports. Soreheads. Vindictive. Petty. Viscous. Treacherous. Lying.
Thieves.
Does that explain it?
Yes, that is what I heard him say, too. "The bulk of the investigation is done. Very little is ever accomplished by extending an investigation." I think it's a done deal.
It's because their thermostats are stuck...on stupid!
Last night, on DL Hughley's talk show on Comedy Central, Bill Mahar called President Bush a "f**k-up" (to which the audience applauded) and the Bush administration the "most corrupt" he'd seen in his lifetime.
2 elections! lmao
Yes, they do stick together pretty well. And you forgot to add that they are really, really vicious!
Democrats stretch, distort and exaggerate. It's called "lying". The news is ... ?
sorry I missed you earlier. I am glad for once I took the time to watch and listen to the man, because my own impressions are far different from what I've heard others even on FR saying. Indeed you and I are in hearty agreement.
Thanks for calling my attention to the typo.(I think I know how to spell vicious. Maybe not.)
Maybe, but I would say it's more like spinning wheels at the starting line in order to gear up for the next election.
Or another analogy, they're throwing mud at the walls to see what will stick.
At any rate, a mean vindictive nature does not seem the way to win an election.
Freep this poll.

They're overheated because they're always looking for something to get Bush thrown out of the White House.
