Ha, ha! Dane, does all of Canada accept Sharia law or is another one of your exagerations (as usual)?

I believe that the Canadian province of Ontario(the largest economically and population wise) let's sharia law determine some case between muslims.

Show me one Mexican state that let's sharia law overrule Mexican law.

If the recommendation had been accepted, Ontario would have become the first Western jurisdiction to allow the use of Sharia.

I think our voice got heard loud and clear, and I thank the government for coming out with no faith-based arbitrations

Mr McGuinty said he would introduce "as soon as possible" a law banning all religious arbitration in the province.

Ontario has allowed Catholic and Jewish faith-based tribunals to resolve family disputes on a voluntary basis since 1991.

Apparently you don't have a problem with them using Catholic and Jewish law to resolve family disputes. Also, they don't use Sharia law to supercede Canadian law. Just in family disputes. Try to tell the whole story, please.

Nope. They may determine what ever amongst themselves , just like anyone else , but they're not getting any support from the court system. You're wrong.

Ontario rejected Sharia Law, and so did Quebec, and I don't think any other province has even considered it...

No, Dane. We do not use sharia law....yet.

The Premier of Ontario, the very liberal Dalton McGuinty said no to sharia law.

I must admit that this surprised me, but he did say no.

No. The most recent decision indicates that there will be no religiously-based dispute arbitration at all. Not Christian, Jewish, Muslim or Other.
