Some of you may feel a need to adjust your tinfoil, or even add an extra layer. However, this is actually nothing more than a synthesis of recent news.
If you feel, as I do, that these psychos really want to kill us, and that they really do have the means to attack, then it makes sense to pay attention to what they do and say. It also makes sense to pay attention to what they believe, how that might impact what they do, and when.

You'll never hear about it in the MSM newscasts. Doesn't fit their agenda you know.AWB

The philosophy of a war with Iran should be different that Iraq. Rather than assuming the liability of repairing/replacing all that is destroyed, let the Iranians clean it up for themselves. It will take some time and effort and keep them out of other affairs.
If further threats emanate from Iran; bomb the hell out of them again. And, again, let them clean up the mess with their resources. Sooner or later, they will get the idea.
Not one allied life need be lost with the technology we have.

<<>> every day of the year is their 'holy time'. But with a religion that urges and sponsors terrorism and atrocities , our 'religion' should be to WIPE THEM OUT, every day of the year!

The timing of this Iran crap is quite convenient given the growing lack of support for our middle east war.

We are in a good strategic situation regarding Iran.
We are in Iraq and in Afghanistan. We essentially have Iran surrounded.

Thanks for a well thought out post, in fact the best vanity I've read in quite a while. It certainly is an unsettling string of events and possible events.

If these guys were really dangerous they would do something and stop yelling at everybody. If they touch Israel, Iran is toast. Even the dense Mullahs know this. Israel has delivery systems, Arrow and the Neutron Bomb which is far more lethal than an atomic bomb.
The only planes in Iran are old F16 leftovers from the days of the Shah. This is just hot rhetoric for internal Iranian consumption.

I read all the pieces of your post with unease...especially the part about Iran recalling its ambassadors...and was reminded of the Mahdi prophecies.
I would add that for the Iranian President to say things about wiping Israel off the map at this time, and then to reaffirm it repeatedly and call up public demonstrations is disturbing as well. In fact, if Iran were having thoughts of doing something soon, the obviously smart and tactical thing to do would be to assure everyone that they have no such intention.
Especially at the exact time that much of the world, even the UN and Europe, are desperately hoping that Iran will be good and appear to be benign so that they won't have to 'do anything' about the Iranian nuke sites, which would certainly stir up a hornet's nest and no one wants to do that. To blurt out threats now is almost a guarantee that Israel or someone else will 'do something' about them.
Either the Iranians have no concept of strategy and deception, or they know that someone is about to 'do something'. Or, there is the small possibility that they are just stupid and blathering and impotent, and did I mention stupid?

Even though Iran may not have much to fight a big war with, the acts of terrorists could lead to much worse.
Instead of a United America and Coalition nations, we could have.....
Multiple terrorist bombings, causing widespread fear, panic, grief and death.
Release of toxic agents.
An America split and weak, with the MSM demanding Bush step down.
An America taken back over by Organized crime.
It wouldn't take much for the MSM to use such acts to foster fear in those who think the government is a god who is supposed to change their diapers.
Without the direction and leadership of a strong man like President Bush, the "pirate" nations will be free to rape, pillage, and plunder again.
The UN will become the dominating ruling body with good ole' Bill heading it until he dies.
FEAR. F**k Everything And Run.

Not one allied life need be lost with the technology we have. That's how Clinton fought -- lots of innocents killed but no political fallout for him. It's the cowards way... Also, the Iranian people are different from the thugs that oppress them.
