Actually, the state already got the dozens of signatures that mattered most when the evidence was presented, when the legal arguments were made and re-made, when the mandatory appeals were made, and when the subsequent appeals were made. In
every case, the decision was
unanimous that he should be put to death... and we're
still waiting, 24 years later.
But if the race-baiters can gather a few thousand signatures from the sheep who know nothing of the actual facts, I guess that should be more important than our judiciary. =^/
