AG is hoping to boost measure in the House By Raphael Lewis, Globe Staff | November 1, 2005

The Lt. Governor, Kerry Healey, excoriated AG Reilly during an impromptu debate on Boston's talk station WRKO. Reilly was reduced to calling her "mean-spirited." While I'm delighted to hear that the outrage here in Massachusetts is cutting across party lines, I can't believe that we have an Attorney General doesn't "feel" it's right to enforce the law! I'm going to pull my hair out living in this state.

Just hold off on your state income tax until they change their minds.

Massachusetts State Colleges also require students to prove they have health coverage or else pay 700.00 per year for the College plan. is O'Reilly going to pay that out of his campaign funds?

Was that the strangest interview you have ever heard? What was his reason for supporting this unlawfull activity? So not to be unfair to kids?
He made no sense at all. I hope he runs for Gov. on this platform. I think Kerry did a nice job. I think she should have asked for his resignation.

Reilly is the one who unilaterally declared handguns "defective consumer products" and then banned the sale of them in MA. He supports Hillary for president.

''all kids who graduate from Massachusetts high schools should be treated equally." Will that include the children of a Belgian, a Brit and a Hungarian that teach at Harvard?

Probably not.

Just shows the prima facie stupidity of this statement. This person should be dismissed from the job just for the lack of intelligence.

She was exceptional. The voice of logic and reason in the face of idiocy. Did you notice that Reilly wouldn't even respond to anything Healey or the host said? He better hone his listening skills because the legal voters in this state are going to show him the door during the 2006 election.

Any Mass residents need to slap this one down asap. The same thing managed to be slipped into some bill in KS. We have a lawsuit filed by other out-of-state students as unfair to U.S. citizens. Lib. KS judge threw out the suit as having no standing in KS Courts. I'm sure that there will be appeals but very expensive to do and who knows when and/or where it will wind up.

It really was odd. He's catering to a constituency who can't even vote for him. What about the rest of us? The legal taxpaying residents of this state? He couldn't offer one substantial point beyond our "lack of compassion." I'm for the rule of LAW, not the rule of emotion...and here Reilly is, threatening to ignore it. I've got to get tinted windows in my car, because I spent my entire drive on the expressway this morning screaming at my radio. :0)

So the gov. thinks Mexican citizens who break out laws deserve cheaper in-state tuition than fellow law-abiding Americans who simply do not reside in his state? How biased is that?

He had nothing to say to her except call her "mean". I really think he didn't expect to be so broadly attacked about this and he sounded shaken. He can expect this to haunt him through the rest of the campaign. Wait till Howie Carr tears into him.
