The Republicans have no subpoena power. When the MD Democrats created the special committee "investigating" Governor Ehrlich's alleged illegal firing of Democrat political hacks, I think they required a majority vote to issue a subpoena. The Republicans are in the minority. So they can't subpoena anyone on their own.

There's no extended header information. Just your typical from, to, date and subject. If he has the original e-mail, he can expand the header info to get the originating IP address and other info. He may not have the original e-mail, though.

The lead story should be that the former Communications Director of the Maryland Democrat Party has claimed that O'Malley cheated on his wife. Then step back and watch the Dems try to explain that they were only trying to score a political dirty trick on Ehrlich by entrapping one of his staff members.

MD4Bush's last post on FR was at 11:14:48 PM EST on February 09, 2005. Ehrlich's attorney didn't claim that MD4Bush is Ryan O'Doherty but the attached email does have Ryan's name and email address. So if Ryan wants to he can easily dispute the connection and sue the Governor's attorney, the Governor, and anyone else if he has proof.

What's interesting is the connection between Ryan's brother Damian and James Smith, Baltimore County Executive. Looks like it's bigger than I thought.

Nobody really knows, not even NCPAC, as of the date of the original WaPo article. But NCPAC scattered enough tidbits about himself on this website that an enterprising reporter could have guessed. Kind of like Jerome Corsi (FReeper jrlc).

The e-mail from O'Doherty proves that he was either MD4BUSH or was working in cahoots with MD4BUSH. That e-mail message was sent "hours before the Washington Post published it's first story about the rumors about Mayor O'Malley", which was also hours before MD4BUSH posted the FReepmail quoted in WaPo.

The e-mail message also proves that WaPo got their info directly from MD4BUSH and that they were also working in cahoots with O'Doherty (who is likely to be MD4BUSH himself). WaPo has engaged in a disgraceful effort to smear Governor Erhlich.

NOTE also the use of "--" by O'Doherty in the e-mail message he sent. "Don't call in until after the story is published in the Washington Post--it is Top Secret." The "--" was used often also by MD4BUSH. And how did he know about the Washington Post story if it was "Top Secret".

Actually O'Doherty posted at FR at 11pm, then sent the email, and then the WaPo story went to press shortly afterward.

Another interesting tidbit I've yet to confirm, a caller to WBAL claims that Damian O'Doherty worked on Martin O'Malley's 1999 campaign and then worked on Doug Duncan's 2002 campaign.

That would be very interesting.
