Umm...I think you're stumbling into the money connections.

O'Doherty works for O'Malley. O'Doherty's brother had worked for the County Exec Jim Smith. O'Doherty's daughter opens a new restaurant at a site where O'Malley "encouraged" redevelopment. It alos looks like a possible money connection between the O'Doherty brothers and Damien's position as President.

The MD GOP should be all over this one. If the WAPO is implicated as a willing contributor and co-conspirator, the question then becomes who was Ryan's connection at WAPO? Who wrote the story?

Ryan's Daughter Irish Pub was named after a 1970 movie.

It has no relation to this story at all.

Ryan O'Doherty doesn't own it.

The restaurant opened in a district which was once a thriving neighborhood, which is also the Curran family's home turf.

The Curran family includes Maryland Attorney General Joe Curran, his daughter Judger Katie Curran O'Malley, wife of Mayor Martin O'Malley, and City Councilman Bob Curran.

The pub's website, http://www.ryansdaughteririshpub.com is off line.

Some previous poster has apparently gotten google happy.
