Definitely. Fires in California, New Mexico and Colorado, too. What was the irony of those fires in the Southwest? Because the dead trees weren't cleared out - per the enviros, thousands of acres of - get this - Spotted Owl habitat were destroyed in the fires. Only the Northeast Dems - Kerry and Co. voted against the Bush forest bill a couple of years ago. No forest fires in Massachusetts!
